Articles on health, training, feeding, breeding, showing, obedience work, field trials, finding and purchasing great Irish Setter merchandise and a variety of other topics as they relate to the Irish Setter.

March 17, 2008: The first article is on the issue of reciprocal registration of Irish Setters who have been registered with the North American Versatile Hunt Association and the Field Dog Stud Book. The article summarizes the papers being presented to the Irish Setter Club of America membership as they prepare to vote on reciprocal registration. It provides a good insight into the questions and issues that are raised about the Irish Setter breed.

Calling all Irish Setters. We are looking for you to submit pictures of your Irish Setter in the field, backyard, swimming, being a couch potato, conformation, agility, service dogs, therapy dogs, companions, obedience training, new puppies, adult dogs, seniors, and Irish just looking cute. We will select a number of them to be posted each month on this website. At the end of the year we will invite visitors to the website to vote on the best pictures in several different categories. Prizes will be announced and you can bet it will be Irish Setter goodies. Submission must be pictures that you have taken or that you have permission to use. For the Photo Gallery I we will begin voting May 1st and end May 15th. The categories will be announced prior to that date. Then, the winners of those categories will be eligible for the grand photo award at the end of the year.

Send the submissions in jpeg format to "Contact Webmaster". Photos for the month of May can be sent starting March 17th and need to be in by April 20th.
